Monad, wired into the same scanner

Monad is the newest chain in the lineup — the EVM swap engine pinned to chain 143, with your own wallet signing and the risk check one paste away.

Monad is a high-throughput EVM chain — Ethereum tooling, much faster block times. For a trading desk that means the familiar surface (an EVM wallet, a KyberSwap-routed quote, a signature) on a chain young enough that half the tokens on it are this week's deployment. The Monad page mounts the same EVM engine as the rest of the EVM swap, pinned to chain 143.

What's actually live

Two ways in: trade from the HostDeFi account wallet — one tap creates it, no extension, no seed phrase — or connect the wallet you already have through EIP-6963 detection or WalletConnect on the trade-with-your-wallet lane, where keys never leave your own wallet. Either way the swap itself is the same engine the other EVM chains use: pick a pair, take the KyberSwap route the quote returns, sign, done.

One difference matters more than the rest: chain availability is server-driven. The widget reads the enabled-chain list from the live config, so Monad appears when the chain is enabled and the page falls back to a default chain if it ever drops off — a dead chain fails loudly instead of quoting a route that can't settle.

One signature on every wallet — the forwarder

A Monad swap settles in a single ordinary transaction, on any wallet, with no batching support required. The mechanism is the fee forwarder: a contract on chain 143 — deployed and verified end-to-end on August 13, 2026 — that takes the swap and the platform fee through one call, so the fee only moves if the swap does. Buying with MON is literally one signature. Selling a token grants the forwarder a one-time approval first — a standing permission signed once, not a per-trade step — and every sell after that is one signature too. Nothing for the wallet to support beyond sending an ordinary transaction.

Why the app never asks to upgrade your wallet

The other way to get one-transaction swaps on an EVM account is an EIP-7702 delegation — turning your EOA into a smart-account proxy for a batch. On Monad that upgrade carries a permanent catch: the chain rejects any transaction that would push a 7702-upgraded account below 10 MON, on every app, forever. Plenty of wallets can't even do the delegation yet. The forwarder exists so you never face that trade — one signature, and your account stays exactly what it was.

The fee, stated plainly

Monad swaps carry the house constant: a flat 1% charged in MON on top of the swap amount, always disclosed in the quote before you sign. One honest carve-out — Monad sits outside the referral split, so the fee doesn't halve to a referrer the way it does on other chains; the full 1% goes to the platform. Gas is priced in MON and stays cheap enough that the quote, not the network, is the number worth reading.

The honest limit: young chains concentrate risk in young places — thin pools, fresh deployers, contracts that haven't survived a week of scrutiny. One signature makes the swap cheap; it doesn't make the token safe. The scanner reads Monad contracts the same way it reads Solana and EVM: verify the contract address first, size second.

Scanning a Monad token

Same scanner, same read — paste the Monad contract and check authorities, holders and liquidity before the swap.

Frequently asked

Which wallets work on Monad?

Any wallet that advertises itself over EIP-6963 (the standard detection protocol — most modern EVM wallets do) plus anything WalletConnect reaches — or the one-tap HostDeFi account wallet, no extension needed. Your keys sign every transaction either way.

How many transactions does a Monad swap take?

One — on every wallet. The fee forwarder contract on chain 143 (deployed and verified end-to-end 2026-08-13) settles the swap and the platform fee inside a single ordinary transaction, and the fee only lands if the swap does. A token sell signs a one-time approval to the forwarder first; buys in MON skip even that.

What does a Monad swap cost?

The house constant — a flat 1% charged in MON on top of the swap, disclosed in the quote before you sign — plus Monad gas. One honest note: Monad is excluded from the referral split, so the full fee goes to the platform rather than half to a referrer.

Will HostDeFi upgrade my wallet for one-tap swaps?

No. The other route to one-transaction swaps is an EIP-7702 delegation — and Monad permanently rejects any transaction that would drop an upgraded account below 10 MON. The forwarder gets the same one-signature result without changing your account type, so the app never asks for that upgrade.

Can the scanner read Monad tokens?

Yes — paste a Monad contract address into any scan box (including the one on this page) and the same checks run: contract flags, holder concentration, liquidity, sell-side behaviour. The engine detects the chain from the address format.

What if Monad doesn't appear in the network list?

Chain availability is server-driven — the swap widget reads the enabled-chain list from the live config. If chain 143 isn't listed yet, the page opens on a default chain instead of quoting a route that can't settle; everything else on the page already works.
