Is COMP safe?

COMP — 0xc00e94cb662c3520282e6f5717214004a7f26888 — is Compound's governance token, the asset that put "governance token" into the DeFi vocabulary when its 2020 distribution kicked off the yield-farming era. Ten million units exist, ever; the contract's mint and freeze switches are both renounced, which for a governance token is exactly the posture a buyer wants to see.
