Syrup USDC is what happens when a yield-bearing dollar meets a brand-new chain. It is Maple Finance's lending receipt — USDC deposited into Maple's institutional lending pools, accruing interest as the token appreciates — deployed to Monad, one of the first assets our index tracks on that network. Our October 9, 2026 snapshot shows $1.7 million of tracked pool liquidity, the deepest pool we measured on Monad, which tells you where early liquidity on the chain is congregating: not in memecoins, but in yield-bearing stablecoin wrappers.
The honest caveats are structural. Syrup's yield comes from lending to institutions — borrowers with credit agreements, not anonymous liquidation bots — so the token carries counterparty exposure that a fiat-backed stablecoin does not; the token can only be as sound as Maple's loan book. And our snapshot did not assess this Monad deployment's contract-level controls, so verify the address and check admin keys with a live scan before treating it as identical to its Ethereum parent.
