KBTC is Kraken's wrapped Bitcoin — the exchange's entry into the custodial-BTC field that BitGo's WBTC defined and Coinbase's cbBTC made a two-horse race. The deployment 0x73e0c0d45e048d25fc26fa3159b0aa04bfa4db98 is the Ethereum mint; our October 9, 2026 snapshot reads $18 million of tracked pool liquidity — real but thin against the incumbents' billions.
The honest framing is custody-shaped: a wrapped BTC is a claim on whoever holds the underlying coins, so Kraken's operational record and regulatory posture are the actual asset backing this token — same trust model as WBTC and cbBTC, different custodian. The spread between this read and the leaders' depth is the market's verdict on how much of that custody people want exposure to on-chain versus at the exchange itself.
USDG is Paxos's second dollar — the newer stablecoin issued under the same regulated umbrella as PYUSD, but built for the Global Dollar Network, a consortium where the yield on reserves gets shared with the institutions distributing it rather than kept whole by the issuer. On Solana it landed where stablecoins actually move: our October 6, 2026 snapshot shows a market cap of about $670.5 million against 21,226 tracked holders and $41.2 million of on-chain pool liquidity — the deepest profile in this batch, and the reason it grades 100/100.
The honest reading of that grade: a regulated issuer with attested reserves is exactly what the contract side wants, and the distribution deal is why exchanges list it — the incentive that made USDT and USDC entrenched is pointed at growth here. The residual is that "regulated" is a jurisdiction's word for centralized controls: the issuer can freeze balances, and that is a property of the asset, not a defect.
By tracked market cap: KBTC (Ethereum) measures $752.66M and USDG (Solana) measures $670.45M — dated snapshots, not a live feed.
On the contract checks we publish: KBTC (Ethereum) grades B and USDG (Solana) grades A. A grade is a structural check on the contract, not a promise about the asset.
Between 2026-09-14 and 2026-10-16T21:15:32, the measured snapshots show KBTC at +2.77% and USDG at −0.02%.
The grade column is the one CMC's compare page cannot print — our grade is computed from the contract itself (mint/freeze authority, liquidity, holder concentration). Changes are measured over the shared window stated on the chart, 2026-09-14→2026-10-16T21:15:32; a token with fewer measured points measures a shorter span inside it.
